Superagents Guide

When Base44 launched Superagents, the Discord filled up with the same questions. What actually is a Superagent? How is it different from a chatbot? What can it do on its own?

The docs had the answers. But plenty of the people asking weren't developers, and I was explaining it one conversation at a time.

I wanted one link I could send instead.

Docs are written for people who already get it. This had to work for someone typing "what are superagents" into Google for the very first time.

So I went warm instead of technical. A friendly mascot called Nova walks you through it. Plain words over jargon. Every idea explained like you're hearing it for the first time, because most people reading it are.

Then I made it thorough: what a Superagent is, how it differs from a chatbot, the six parts that make one work, real use cases and a prompt library you can copy from.

A guide that says it's clearer than the docs has to be right. So every claim was checked against Base44's live docs before it went in, then rewritten in plain English.

The six parts each get a section:

1. The Brain, where it thinks, remembers and connects to tools
2. Tasks, the schedules and triggers that make it run on its own
3. Artifacts, little apps it builds mid-conversation
4. Files, its own working file system
5. Channels, where you talk to it
6. Settings & Permissions, what it's allowed to touch

It's one long page with gentle motion as you scroll, a side-by-side chatbot vs Superagent comparison, seven copy-paste starter prompts and an FAQ. It's independent, and the footer says so.

Now when someone asks what a Superagent is, there's one link to send. It's free, and every claim in it has been checked.
